چکیده
Abstract Introduction The increase of human space missions in microgravity conditions has led the scientific community to investigate potential effects on astronauts' bodies. There is a high incidence cardiovascular complications, with cardiac arrest being among most difficult manage. On earth, guidelines regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation are constantly updated; however, microgravity, literature subject still lacking. aim this study review available and lay foundation for further nursing developments regard. Materials Methods A was conducted by consulting Pubmed as database. research question was, "How CPR performed astronaut suffering from during flight?" As inclusion criteria, we considered all relevant studies last 10 years, using MeSH terms. Results Discussion reviewed showed that there 5 possible methods environment (Consensus 2015) : Reverse Bear Hug Method; Side-Straps Evetts-Russomano Handstand Waist Straddle Method. Mackaill et all, through simulation parabolic flight, dummy different operators, demonstrated Russomano maneuver capable sustaining circulation conferring effective manual chest compressions. Hinkelbein drafted first guideline maneuvers. results also show defibrillation ventilation appear be techniques have not yet been investigated. belief remains BLSD ALS protocols can applied same manner Earth. Schimtz an RCT included 15 volunteers placed underwater (an similar characteristics), studied 2 techniques, comparing Schimtz-Hinkelbein Method Cologne former method better depth frequency repetitions Subsequently, Forti his collaborators, highlighted application automatic mechanical compression devices generating Conclusion To date little evidence state certainty exclusively one aerospace environment. Since emergency major problem need these processes more thoroughly entrust health care professionals management, practice theory such dynamics view arrival presence space.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children.
PURPOSE OF REVIEW To summarize recent advances in pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest prevention, resuscitation and postresuscitation management. RECENT FINDINGS Pediatric cardiac arrest has traditionally been considered a futile medical condition with dismal outcomes. Data in the 21st century indicate that more than 25% of children treated for in-hospital cardiac arrests survive to hospital dis...
متن کاملComparison of Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Conventional Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: Is Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Beneficial?
BACKGROUND With improvements in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, the quality and the effectiveness of CPR have been established; nevertheless, the survival rate after cardiac arrest still remains poor. Recently, many reports have shown good outcomes in cases where extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) was used during prolonged CPR. Accordingly, we attempted to evaluate the i...
متن کاملRecent advances in cardiopulmonary resuscitation: cardiocerebral resuscitation.
Cardiocerebral resuscitation (CCR) is a new approach for resuscitation of patients with cardiac arrest. It is composed of 3 components: 1) continuous chest compressions for bystander resuscitation; 2) a new emergency medical services (EMS) algorithm; and 3) aggressive post-resuscitation care. The first 2 components of CCR were first instituted in 2003 in Tucson, Arizona; in 2004 in the Rock and...
متن کاملOutcomes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the emergency department
Objective: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in the prevention of death or delaying it in a person with cardiac arrest. In this regard, demographic information about patients who need CPR is vital. Methods: In this cross-sectional study patients with cardiopulmonary arrest or arrhythmias admitted to Imam Reza and Sina ed...
متن کاملMechanical advances in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Challenged by the continued high mortality rates for patients in cardiac arrest, the American Heart Association and the European Resuscitation Council developed a new set of guidelines in 2000 to help advance several new and promising cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and devices. This is the first time these organizations have taken such a bold move, in part because of the poor re...
